These homeowners were going for a very rustic/traditional feel. In the Kitchen they chose a beautiful 3x6 tumbled silver travertine for the backsplash and a beautiful lot of Typhoon Bordeaux granite for the countertops that had some very nice yellow and brown swirls to coordinate with the travertine and dark wood cabinets. In the master bath they chose 18x18 honed and filled ivory travertine tile for the floors and continued the travertine up the walls to make a nice wainscot around the tub and continued the flow through the shower, and adding a few travertine pie shelves created a nice accent.
The homeowners chose the Typhoon Bordeaux granite for the large vanity countertop to tie into the colors in the travertine. They did a great job of sticking with their desired theme throughout the space and ultimately got the results that they were looking for.
The homeowners wanted to do natural hardwood floors throughout their house, but eventually decided to go with a porcelain wood look-a-like tile for ease of maintenance. They chose to run this tile throughout the main living areas and all of the bedrooms to hold up to the high traffic demands on the floor. The floors worked perfectly with all of the natural light in the house and the wall colors of the rooms. We seamlessly transitioned from the porcelain tile to the travertine in the Jack and Jill bath that connected the two bedrooms.
